In his 1970 history of Headingley Methodist Church J. Stanley Mathers dealt with the buildings and finances of the Church. Mathers acknowledged that time failed him 'to tell of that long succession of committed, dedicated people’ who have been the “living stones” of the community. Telling the story of those living stones is the purpose of this new oral history project.
